The Grand Hotel in Downtown Minneapolis is a Kimpton property and has a lot of cool quirky decor. There’s a reindeer on my bed!
They offered zebra robes and a leopard seating area at the door in my room. It also boasted all of the things that one needs: a mini bar with yummy snacks, a desk and flat screen TV, room service (so fast!), etc.
The bathroom was great, super clean with a TV over the tub (!) and a separate shower.
The lobby is just as cool and quirky as the reindeer I got to sleep with. The mood lighting is great, the furniture is modern and they’ve got a great bar. I also saw that they have a spa and restaurant but didn’t make it to either.
The gym… HUGE. You can even use a personal trainer there if you want! If I remember correctly, you can also sign up for a monthly membership if you are not a hotel guest.
The next time I find myself going to Minneapolis I’ll be checking rates here first!
